Children have a hard time with change. They particularly struggle with moving from a preferred activity (play) to a non-preferred activity (anything that’s not play). During this TABTalk, I discuss how brain development plays a role and how to ease the stress around transitions. I hope to talk about big transitions like moving or going to big school and smaller transitions like leaving the playground or getting ready for bed.
